![]() ![]() So this is what i would do, edit the game, start a new colony with plenty of potatos and metal and build the dispender right away e if they use it However, with that said, still no excuse - I do apologize. It is just that people come here all the time, asking the same questions, and when you say what about this, you always get, oh yeah i did EVERYTHING you asked, EVERYTHING you are about to ask, and EVERYTHING you never were smart enough to ask, so it tends to get tiring. Your coming across a bit grumpy and unhelpful in case you werent aware of the tone of your post, theres no need to be patronizing. I noticed this happening in every colony i started so its not a problem that was confined to this one save at least for me. Its not a big deal since i have an electric stove to cook with now but it does make the intro in each new colony a little tough. ![]() I mostly wanted to see if anyone had a similar problem and or a solution. I could put up screen shots but i dont really care about this that much and i get the feeling you would be convinced its a user error anyways. I ended up resorting to making my nute paste room below freezing so at least if they do that the food is less likely to make them sick. they eat the food out of the hopper instead of making paste even if the food is old. they can fill the hoppers and they do, otherwise how would they have put food in them like i already said above and the machine is accesable from all four sides. I appreciate your confidence in my reading skills though. I dont really play any games with mods as i find them to generally be borring. I have everything set to unrestricted, i checked that right before i posted, and im running vanilla. Generally you will not be able to completely eliminate the tendency for pawns to pick raw food over your nutrient paste, but the great majority of the time they should choose the nutrient paste if you take the information I present here into account. The way to work around the pawn's choosing raw food problem is to ensure that any straight line from anywhere on the map a pawn is likely to become hungry while at and decide to head toward your food stocks leads them to pass by a nutrient paste dispenser. If there are any raw foods or meals between the pawn and the nutrient paste dispenser the pawn tends to select the raw food or meal. The problem you most likely have is as follows: Pawns get hungry, they check from their place on the map to where the nearest acceptable food source is according to the shortest travel time to pick up the meal. That may reduce the frequency of the problem I described with different ingredient types and limited available stock. There's no harm in having a second or 3rd hopper. If you run only vegetables through the nutrient paste, and only produce one type of vegetable, you won't run into this problem. lynx flesh) left in the hopper, and no lynx flesh to restock with, so they won't use the hopper until I order a pawn to consumer the raw meat (I do this in order to cause them to pick up the meat), and give that opportunity for the hopper to be restocked with another meat (e.g. You can use just one hopper, but I run into a problem where there will be just 3 of a certain meat (i.e. ![]()
